Khusyuk

Kebijakan Privasi

Terakhir diperbarui: 1 Oktober 2026

5. Yang tidak kami lakukan

6. Menghapus akunmu

Buka Pengaturan → Hapus akun.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

In short: your journal entries, prayer tracker, streak and settings never leave your phone. Khusyuk's server stores only your identity — name, email, and a hashed password — so that you can sign in. No ads and no cross-app tracking. We do measure feature usage anonymously; your journal is never part of it (see section 4).

What the server stores

Your name, email address, a scrypt hash of your password (never the password itself — we cannot read it or recover it, only check whether what you typed matches), and your sessions (whose refresh tokens are also stored hashed). The server's database has exactly two tables: accounts and sessions.

What stays on your phone

Your journal, your prayer tracker and streak, your location and the prayer times computed from it, your Quran bookmark and tasbih count, and all of your settings. We do not sync any of it between devices, because we do not have it. The one exception is the anonymous usage measurements described above: a region name, never coordinates, and a length band for a journal entry, never its text.

Location

Location is used for three things: prayer times, the qibla direction, and finding nearby mosques. Prayer times and the qibla are computed entirely on your device and send nothing anywhere.

To name your location, find mosques and draw the map, your coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap services (Nominatim, Overpass, and tile servers). Those requests carry no identifier — no name, no email, no account id, no session — so a coordinate cannot be tied back to you, and Khusyuk's own server never receives your location at all. OpenStreetMap is a third party with its own policy: osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.

You may decline the location permission. The app still works; you pick your city yourself, and the nearby-mosques feature is unavailable.

What we do not do

No tracking across other apps or websites. No advertising, and nothing we collect is shared with an ad network. We do not sell your personal data, and do not share it except where required by law. The usage analytics and crash reporting we do use are described below.

Analytics and crash reporting

Khusyuk sends usage events to PostHog (app opened, prayer marked, surah opened, which screens you visit, which settings you choose) and crash reports to Sentry (error type, code location, device model, app version).

What is never included: the text of your journal — only a coarse length band and your streak number — your coordinates, which are reduced to a region name such as "West Java" and omitted entirely when naming the place failed, the verses you read, and your name, email and password.

Without an account you are a random number generated on your phone. Signed in, events are tied to your account id, never your name or email. Your IP address is used to infer country and province, and is not stored as an address.

The app never contacts PostHog directly: everything is sent to Khusyuk's own server and forwarded from there, so the app talks to one address, ours. PostHog and Sentry process this data for us under their own policies: posthog.com/privacy and sentry.io/privacy.

Deleting your account

Go to Settings → Hapus akun (Delete account). You will be asked for your password. Your account is then deleted permanently and immediately from our server, along with every session on every device — and all of your data on that phone (journal, tracker, streak, preferences) is erased with it. There is no waiting period and no recovery: once deleted, we cannot restore it, because we no longer have it.

Storage and security

Account data is held in a managed database (Neon, Singapore region). All traffic between the app and the server uses HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with scrypt and a per-account salt. Session tokens live in your phone's keychain, not in the app's database. We keep your account data for as long as your account exists; deleting the account deletes the data.

Children

Khusyuk is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
